101 in 1001

Todays post is a little random, but I felt was needed for myself. I was inspired from a good friend named Heather from www.heatherinareads.com – she is amazing and you will love her!!!! I didn’t know how to explain exactly what I was doing so I just quoted what she shared below:

“There’s nothing I like more than making a to-do list and crossing off completed items. I’ve been exploring other blogs recently and I came across this fantastic idea. Create a list of 101 things to do in 1001 days. It’s like a quasi-bucket list with a three year deadline. Well, 2.75 years to be more precise.

The idea originated from the Day Zero Project. Tasks should be specific, realistic (ie. “go on a space mission” would not work for me), and measurable or clearly defined. While I may not complete every task on this list I am excited to see where these new goals will take me. Check back for progress!

  • Unattempted
  • In progress
  • Completed

This attempt of me typing a list and sharing it with the world is a bit scary, but I believe it’ll help me be motivated and besides you all are somewhat my accountability partners, right? I thought this idea was so much fun, I encourage you to make your own lists. I think this is a great way to step out and be bold.  Let me get started:

Wow, Monica, that’s quite a list! Just don’t put yourself under too much pressure …
But you missed a very important goal under travel: visit Japan!
If you like the Olympics you could go for those – although they’ll be after the end of your 1001 days – or you could go for the Rugby World Cup in 2019. Or you could just come and visit us in Nagoya to see what God is doing there!
Whether you add Japan or not, I look forward to reading about your progress with the list and, more particularly, your “progress” with God.
